Buying Calls and Puts

Learn the basics of buying call and put option quotes on supported CSfi skin markets.

The market page shows firm RFQ quotes. Calls are listed on the left side of the option chain, while puts are listed on the right side when the product is enabled.

Long call

Buying a call gives upside exposure if the referenced skin settles above the strike. The most you can lose is the premium paid plus fees.

Long put

Buying a put gives downside exposure if the referenced skin settles below the strike. The most you can lose is the premium paid plus fees, and the payoff is paid in USDC from the writer's posted collateral.

CSfi puts are covered and cash-collateralized: the writer references a custody-backed skin and must post USDC collateral equal to strike before the option can be finalized.
